Jeff Halper, Israeli anthropologist and founder of the Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions ICHAD), will deliver a talk on the nature of the Israeli apartheid regime and share his latest research on the Israeli weapons industry.

The Arab Bedouin citizens of Israel are among the indigenous Palestinian Arabs who remained on their lands (in the Naqab (Negev)) after the establishment of the state of Israel in 1948. 

Phyllis Bennis, Institute for Policy Studies, directs the New Internationalism Project at IPS. She is also a fellow of the Transnational Institute in Amsterdam. She has been a writer, analyst, and activist on Middle East and UN issues for many years.
