A conversation with Omar Shakir of Human Rights Watch. Omar presently serves as the Israel and Palestine Director at HRW, where he investigates human rights abuses in Israel, the West Bank, and Gaza. He has authored several major reports, including a 2021 report comprehensively documenting how Israeli authorities are committing the crimes against humanity of apartheid and persecution against millions of Palestinians. This discussion will elucidate this work and also touch on how it relates to the present situation in Israel-Palestine.
