Dec. 5 - In the Absence of Justice
On the occasion of the release of the United Nations report, “In the Absence of Justice,” an event was organized at the CU Law School featuring a presentation by the lead researcher, Nadera Shalhoub-Kevorkian of the Hebrew University, with remarks by Maria Noel Vaeza, Director of Programming for UN Women, and comments by CPS faculty members Lila Abu-Lughod, Buttenweiser Professor of Social Sciences, and Katherine Franke, Sulzbacher Professor of Law.
An earlier publication in this UN series (“Access Denied,” 2014) concerned women and justice in the West Bank, and it recommended a study of the related predicaments of women and girls in East Jerusalem.
